Welcome to the new SELBAC website which will be constantly changing as we welcome input from those who visit.
SELBAC (South East London, Bromley and Croydon) was born seven years ago when The Creepy Crawlies and Beetstarz got together and held the first SELBAC event in June 2010.
The idea to hold the meets in the same place came about because the nearby County meets (Kent, Surrey and Sussex) tend to move location and days every month and we could have been left without a local meet some months.
It has become a very well attended and friendly group and we have cachers travelling from all over (well outside our area) to join us; Maidstone, Tonbridge, Sidcup, North London and Essex. From time to time we have overseas visitors join us too which is lovely.
Occasionally we are fortunate to be joined by The Longman, a reviewer, who explains the reviewing processes and holds a question and answer session.
Normal monthly meets are usually on the first Tuesday of the month at Toby Carvery, Eden Park Beckenham, Kent.
6.30pm until late - arrive and leave at any time to suit you.
Venue is opposite Eden Park Station (Hayes line) from Cannon Street, London Bridge, Waterloo East and Charing Cross.
Buses (194, 358 and 356) pass the door to Bromley, Orpington, Elmers End/Crystal Palace and Croydon.
Venue / day of the week occasionally changes but the change is always made clear on the cache page.
This website has been funded by the very kind generosity of The Fab Jabs Oldies. Thank you, Janet.
This website is for everybody and we welcome your photos and stories.
